Unlocking Academic Success: The Power of Brain Breaks

As educators, mentors, and influencers, we understand the value of nurturing young minds for academic excellence. In the journey of imparting knowledge, it's crucial to recognize the significance of brain breaks . These short intervals of rest hold the key to enhancing students' learning experiences and overall well-being. Understanding Brain Breaks: Imagine a scenario where students are constantly engaged in studying without any breaks. The result? Fatigue, reduced concentration, and diminished creativity. Brain breaks are short, purposeful pauses taken between study sessions. They allow students to step away from their desks, stretch their bodies, and rejuvenate their minds. These breaks are not just moments of relaxation but essential tools to optimize learning. Why Brain Breaks Matter: 1. Improved Focus: Continuous learning can lead to burnout. Brain breaks prevent mental fatigue, enabling students to return to their studies with renewed focus and attention. 2....

Proof of Heron Formula class 9 To find area of Triangles

Drop an altitude of length h to the side of length c. Then A = (1/2)cxh, So, A2 = (c2 h2)/ 4. Use the Pythagorean Theorem to obtain the following system: (1) x2 + h2 = a2 (2) y2 + h2 = b2 (3) x + y = c Substitute y = c - x into (2) and simplify.Then subtract the result from (1). You will find that 2cx = a2 - b2 + c2. From (1), 4c2 h2  = 4a2 c2 - 4c2 x2 = (2ac + 2cx) (2ac - 2cx) = (2ac + a2 - b2 + c2)(2ac - a2 + b2 -c2) = ((a+c)2 - b2) (b2 - (a-c)2) = (a+c+b)(a+c-b)(b+a-c)(b-a+c) = (2s)(2s-2b)(2s-2c)(2s-2a) = 16s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)

Proverbs : HONESTY IS THE BEST POLICY.

As a child, I grew up in fear mostly because of all the rules I had to follow in school and the punishment I would get if I were to break anyone of them. I belonged to the era when having dirty fingernails in school meant facing the pain of a wooden ruler hitting my defenseless tiny hands. To avoid this kind of punishment and embarrassment I learned to be a "good girl" following all the rules and taking things to heart. Proverbs posted above blackboards that were regularly replaced by new ones provided the guide with which we were to  strictly follow in order to remain "good". The manner in which I understood them then, was based on several factors but somehow these proverbs found its way of affecting my sense of worth and my view of the world. This hub speaks of how I understood these proverbs in my formative years, how I interpreted them in my growing years and how I redefined them in my journey to healing. The more I researched on the origin of the proverbs chos...

Human heart How our heart and blood works

CBSE ADDA How your heart works? THE HEART IS A HOLLOW MUSCLE in the middle of the chest that pumps blood around the body supplying cells with oxygen and nutrients. A muscular wall, called the septum, divides the heart lengthways into left and right sides. A valve divides each side into two chambers: an upper atrium and lower ventricle. When the heart muscle contracts, it squeezes blood through the atria and then through the ventricles. Oxygenated blood from the lungs flows from the pulmonary veins into the left atrium, through the left ventricle, and then out via the aorta to all parts of the body. Deoxygenated blood returning from the body flows from the vena cava into the right atrium, through the right ventricle, and then out via the pulmonary artery to the lungs for reoxygenation. At rest the heart beats between 60 and 80 times a minute; during exercise or at times of stress or excitement the rate may increase to 200 beats a minute. Why does your heart beat? Your heart beats so ...

The brain How does brain work

CBSE ADDA How does your brain work? Your brain works by sending and receiving messages through the nerves in your body. The nerves act like the body’s telephone system. Information from your senses passes along nerves, up the spinal cord (a long nerve inside your backbone), all the way to your brain. Your brain can store this information and use it to send a message back to the body. When you touch something, nerves send a message to the brain. The brain works out what the message means and sends a message back. When did you feel pain? You feel pain when your brain tells you to. When you touch something sharp or hot, nerves in your fingertips send a message to your brain to warn it of the danger. The brain processes this information and tells the muscles in your arm to move your hand away from the source of pain as quickly as possible. What does your brain do? Your brain controls your body. It tells the rest of your body what to do and when to do it. Diffe...

Quotations about Education
