Central Teacher Eligibility Test ( CTET) overview

The results of the first Central Teacher Eligibility Test ( CTET)) conducted by CBSE for recruitment of teachers to Central Government schools, were declared on Tuesday with 97,919 candidates clearing it. Of the total 79,4080 candidates registered for the test, 71,5050 had sat for the exam held on June 26. The test was conducted in 1,178 centres and 81 cities across the country and two cities abroad

CTET 2011 Date Extended for Sanskrit Language

The Advertisement for inviting applications for Central Teacher Eligibility Test 2011 to be conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education on 26th June, 2011 was published on 8th & 9th April, 2011 in all leading newspapers including Employment News.  The last date for sale of bulletins and applying online was 10th May, 2011.  As per the scheme of examination, the candidates were required to give options for two languages in both the papers I and II, to be eligible for appointment as teacher for classes 1 to V and classes VI to VIII respectively. Now,  a  decision  has  been  taken  that  candidates  appearing  for  Central Teacher Eligibility Test­2011  can  also opt  for  Sanskrit  as one of  their option  in languages. Keeping in view of the above,  the candidates wishing to opt for Sanskrit as one of the languages in Paper I and/or Paper II may also apply for CTET?2011 from 23rd May, 2011  to  28th  May,  2011  by making online application on CBSE website www.cbse.nic.in.
